The view form the Studio

The Studio Bed and Breakfast in set right in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park. We are surrounded by the Black Mountains which offer great walking straight from the door.

Driving from Abergavenny

Take the A40 toward Brecon. 2 miles after passing through Crickhowell turn right onto A479 signposted to Builth Wells. After 3 miles you enter Cwmdu and turn right at the Farmers Arms Pub. Turn right again after 80m. The Studio is a quarter of a mile on the left.

Driving from Hay-on-Wye

Take the B4350 and A438 toward Brecon. After 7 miles turn left onto A479 signposted to Abergavenny. Pass around Talgarth, turn left at the roundabout and follow the road for about 9 miles to Cwmdu. Turn left at the Farmers Arms Pub and then right after 80m. The Studio is a quarter of a mile on the left.

Driving from Brecon

Take the A40 towards Abergavenny. After 10 miles turn left onto the A479 signposted to Builth Wells. After 3 miles you enter Cwmdu and turn right at the Farmers Arms Pub. Turn right again after 80m. The Studio is a quarter of a mile on the left.

Parking, satnavs and mobile phones

The Studio is on a quiet country lane and there is a layby immediately opposite where you can park your car. Satnavs will get you to Cwmdu but the Studio is about 300m outside the village. Following signs for the campsite will get you here, but if you get to the campsite you have just missed us. Please also note that mobile reception is poor in the village.

By Public Transport

The nearest train station is at Abergavenny, which is about 11 miles away. Unfortunately there is no direct bus service to the Studio, so you will need to get a taxi.
